Buy somewhere else

They are impossible to talk to. If there is a problem you are stuck. They do not answer phone calls but leave you on hold until you give up. Same with chat. Customer service non existent. Spend a few cents more and find a reliable art supply store.

Their customer service is nonexistent. They don't care about their customers. They do not return calls and when you call them you get stuck on hold until you give up. Same with live chat. No interest in helping. The prices sound good but spend a little more and find a reliable company.

I almost didn't order because of the…

I almost didn't order because of the mixed reviews I read, but Jerry's had items in stock that blick did not, as well as better prices on most things they had in common. I've placed two $200+ orders last month, and they both arrived within 2 business days with secure packaging. All items were correct and undamaged. I had no need to contact customer service, so I can't say how their performance was, but I will continue to shop from both Jerry's and blick in the future.

Updated review.

Original order was April 12. I have had several communications with them since. Last week they emailed me saying they have sent another order. When I requested a tracking number they sent me the same tracking number as the first order that is "lost''. I think Jerry's is struggling and therefore messing up while trying to stay afloat. I have requested a refund. We will see how much integrity they have now.I placed an order 13 days ago. I was sent an email telling me that they would send me a tracking number when the order shipped. I contacted them 10 days later and requested a tracking number and they. Sent me one. UPS says the shipping label was made but the item had not been received by. On day 11, I contacted Jerry's letting them know that UPS does not have the package. Day 12 they responded saying it now showed up at the facility. Day 13, UPS tracking says that they don't have the package. I'm not giving up yet. I will give them another day or two before requesting a refund. Sometimes things do get missed in the scab]Ning process but i think 14-15 days is ample time to go ground through a few states. I don't think Jerry would be happy about all of the bad reviews his store is getting and so far, I am very disappointed.

I finally cancelled my order over a…

I finally cancelled my order over a month after placing it. When I contacted customer service, they said the item was on back order (never notified) and a new shipment would be in 5/24. Still never shipped, so I finally cancelled the order. Terrible customer service.
Save yourself the headache. Use Blick to purchase supplies online . Jerry’s Artarama is terrible

Add me to the list of folks who had a crap experience with Jerry's - their customer service, their returns policy, the misleading web listing that made me order something I didn't want, etc. I wish I had seen these reviews before ordering!

False Promises About Availability Dates

I've been trying to get some empty aluminum paint tubes for months. Each time an availabilty date is given, it is changed at the last minute to another date about a month in the future. This KEEPS on happening. Right now (as of 5-16-21) the availability dates given are 6/5/2021 and 6/30/2021. But just watch! These dates are a lie. They'll change again in a few days. I gave Jerry's Artarama my email so that I could be notified when the tubes are in, but all they do is swamp my email address with lengthy commercials, TWO of them a day.

I have made several orders from Jerry’sArtarama, and I’m shocked to see some of these other negative reviews. They have an incredible selection of art products, I could easily get lost browsing on their site for hours. And they are cheaper than anyone else, believe me, I’ve checked every other site imaginable. The online store that you might find a better price is on Amazon, and this is more than likely because Amazon uses algorithms and automation to retrieve tons of price data from a vast sea of competitors, to ensure that it always has the lowest price. It’s almost like an automated bidding war where they always win. But this is about Jerrys, and they in fact list a limited number of their products on Amazon, and also give you the option on their site to check out using Amazon to make the process easier(your address and payment information is all set to go, it saves you that step). The ONLY downside to JerrysArtarama is that their shipping is a bit sluggish. I do all my browsing on Jerry’s, get my reviews there, and basically get all my product info and education there. But sometimes I’ll check to see if they’re offering a product I want through their Amazon store, in case they have products sitting at an Amazon warehouse nearby that will deliver it the next day. But honestly, I use Jerry’sArtarama as my one stop art supplies store. They also have a plethora of absolutely free art tutorials and demonstrations, as well as links to countless other art resources. Jerry’sArtarama.com is a great art store, I challenge you to find anything better! P.S. Check out they’re huge selection of SoHo acrylic paints! They are beautiful, professional quality paints for unbelievably cheap.

Why I choose full French Box GRAND LUXE

Thanks to all at Jerry's Artarama. I am an actual customer and normally I hate surveys except Jerry's deserves praise.
Customer service has been fantastic and the quality super. The price great.
I needed to replace my old field easel.
I carefully did my research due to some personal issues.
Many artist were singing the praises of poc boxes with tripods due to being light weight and backpack-able. The referred to the French boxes as heavy and cumbersome. But all noted that the French easel boxes were more sturdy in wind.
Why I choose the GRAND LUXE.
Great reviews.
No assembly needed.
Came with ground spikes.
Has rubber on feet for indoor use.
Metal lined drawer.
Compartment for brushes and more.
Locks in place when in carry position.
Canvas carrier locks.
Three coats of linseed to wood.
(I will still apply another.)
Well constructed
Great price.
MOST OF ALL...MY PERSONAL SITUATION.
I have two torn rotator cuffs. Plus I am titanium in multiple areas of neck and spine.
However, I can trek the hardest terrain but I should NOT use a backpack.
For me getting back into the field was beginning to look questionable.
Yes; full French boxes weight about 14 pounds before filling with supplies. However, me using a backpack was out.
THE Grand Luxe French Box is sturdy and compact. Easy to open. No assembly required. Along it is Able it carry all I need in supplies.
Manufacture did include instructions. But it took me less then two minutes to set up.
Please remember to let a new easel be set up for a few days to allow the wood become acclimated to your environment.
After reaching reviews on Easel with self contained wheels What I saw was disappointing. With comments concerning quality and defects.
Then I saw hope.
I had purchased several years a small light weight aluminum collapsible/ folding dolly lying against the garage wall.
Excited I immediately ordered The full size Grand Luxe. When the easel is storage position fits perfectly on the dolly. The Grand Luxe can carry canvases along with my supplies. Then I can strap it on my dolly with an umbrella, a needed bottle of drinking water and snack then off I go through most fields, hills, paths and sand.
For those with no or fewer limitations but don't want to carry everything all the way
the dolly collapses to almost the same size as the easel and shoulder straps could be added.
I tested getting the easel attached to the dolly in and out of my SUV. Very easy for me. Just EXTEND the dolly's handle. Tilt and slid.
No may not be the greatest for mountain climbing but most terrain a God send.
I hope this information will help other artist no matter their limitations or needs.
Also I hope will Jerry's consider selling the dolly also.
Wish I could have included photos.
The Grand Luxe is awesome.

Gotham Black Ready Made Frame 24X36"

I ordered this black Gotham open back frame for a painting I created. When it arrived and I removed it from the box, it was extremely flimsy. Two of the corners had hairline cracks from where the metal cleats were inserted to hold it together. On a third corner the frame itself broke at the attachment point. This product is not typical of products sold by Jerry’s Artarama and in my opinion is poorly made. I would not recommend purchasing this item as you will most likely have to spend money to make it usable.

Can someone tell me what else to do?

I ordered once from Jerry's Artarama and since then I have been overwhelmed with their emails.. I unsubscribed many times, I moved the emails in spam, I sent them Email! Nothing helped! I don't know what else to do. This is extremely agrivating!
